Soy wax is a vegetable wax derived from Soybean oil. As compared to its counterpart, Paraffin Wax, Soy wax is a natural and renewable source derived from vegetables. The wax also has a lower melting point than Paraffin Wax and hence when it is used to manufacture candles and tablets these last longer than those made from Paraffin. Soy wax based products support local farmers as opposed to Paraffin Wax that is petroleum based. More often than not Paraffin wax based products contain chemical additives that make the products harmful for you and the environment. Soy candles and tablets also hold scent better than their counterparts.
